Sober Tracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Sober Tracker (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is built to be private by design. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it is stored and the choices you have.

In short: everything you enter about your journey stays on your device. There are no accounts, and we cannot see your check-ins, journal entries or letters.

Information stored only on your device

The following information is saved locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:

Your device’s own backups (for example iCloud or Google device backup) may include this data according to your device settings. We do not have access to those backups.

Information collected automatically

The App does not use analytics or advertising tracking. To fix problems, it uses one service from Google Firebase:

Crash reports never include the content you enter in the App, such as your check-ins, journal entries, letters, drink days or goals. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security page.

Purchases and subscriptions

Optional Sober Tracker Plus subscriptions are purchased and billed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase history from the store.

Notifications

Reminders, milestone celebrations and letter notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can change or turn them off at any time in the App’s settings or in your device settings.

Exporting and deleting your data

Because your journey data is never uploaded, we cannot recover it for you if it is deleted.

How we use information

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Health information

Information about your drinking, mood and cravings is sensitive. It stays on your device and is not shared with us, advertisers or any third party.

Children

The App is intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to certain processing. Since your journey data is stored only on your device, you can view, export or delete it directly in the App. For questions about data collected by the services above, contact us using the email below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
